Monthly meeting of Prerana hosted at CSOI on 30.4.2016 was organized by PRERANA Members Nandini B. Sharma, Rumi Saikia Bora and Shobha Sarmah.

To celebrate the Festival of Spring and merriment of the Bihu Festival of Assam, a meeting held on 30.4.2016 was organized by PRERANA Members Nandini B.Sharma, Rumi Saikia Bora and Shobha Sarmah.

The meeting started with an address to the gathering by Secy, Prerana, Anamika Tewari who highlighted the prior major social events carried out under the banner of the club with emphasis on the visit of the enthusiastic and eminent members to ‘Ashadeep’- a mental health society in Guwahati and the presentation of contribution to Ashadeep as a part of Prerana’ssocial responsibility.

This gathering was well attended by the gorgeous ladies of PRERANA mostly dressed in colorful Mekhela-Chadders and saris befitting the celebration of the ‘Colors of Spring’.

Members assembled together at the CSOI and sang Bihu songs keeping alive the spirit and merriment of the season.

The hostesses also arranged games of Housie. This was followed by a lavish spread of traditional Assamese food- laru, pitha, of various types especially til pitha and tupa pitha,kordoi, lucy- aludam, paneer, payash, cream and gulabjamun accompanied by tea,coffee and soft drinks. The evening ended with gaiety and merriment befitting the celebration of the ‘Spring Festival of Assam’.
