The members of Prerana IAS Officers’ Wives Association visited Atma Nirbhar-Ek Challenge on 30th March, 2017. Arms nirbhar is an NGO working for the physically and mentally challenged people to empower them to become financially self-reliant.

The NGO has done commendable work in involving the physical and mental challenged in this social business enterprise so that they become useful members of society. Works of tea packaging envelope making, grounding and packaging of spices, bag making etc are done by the beneficiaries so that they can earn their living without depending on others .

It was first started under the initiative of Kaushik Das, a tea broker of J Thomas company. Mrs Suman Pipersenia, Mrs Krishna Barua and Mrs Anamika Tewari.

Suman Pipersenia, President Prerana donated a sum of Rs. 1,05,000/- towards improving the water supply system at Paropkar Building (Atma Nirbhar) and handed over the cheque to Sri Bhaskar Barua President of Atma Nirbhar.

Mrs Urmila Barua of Atma Nirbhar was also present there. It was a very happy moment shared between Prerana and the beneficiaries of Atma Nirbhar.
