On the 31 st of October 2017 Prerana monthly club meet was hosted. The hosts were Mrs.Smita Dwivedi, Mrs. Shagufta Hussain, and Mrs. Bhavana Babu. The theme of the meet was Arabian and the time was 4:30 pm. As the evening drew closer, the hosts readied themselves for an enthralling evening of merriment and laughter with their dear friends. The decorations were complete, glittering drapes of jade green and ruby red, hung from the walls and the tables were adorned with miniature lighted candlesticks and glass jars of yummy chocolates.

The last corner of the hall was beautifully done up, with Arabian style glowing lamps, long ancient hukka’s stood on a heavily embroidered table and a royal divan was placed in between which served as an ideal place for a photo booth. The Persian rugs lay on the floor and Arabian lamps and gini lamps alongside it. As the guests began to pour in, they were welcomed with a bracelet which the hosts felt would serve as a reminder of the evening.

The evening became alive with the chatter and laughter of merry voices and clink of cutlery as the starters were served. Games were played and then the music was turned up and everyone started dancing to the rhythm of Arabian music. It was a very enjoyable moment where everyone danced their hearts out. Then the high tea was served. It was Arabic to the core consisting of a green veggie tikki called falafel, the traditional Arabian pita bread and Arabian dip humus and the special sweet baklava etc.

In this way the evening came to an end with the promise of meeting again next month.
